She's been used for 4-H rodeo and has done well in Western riding, barrels, and poles. She's also a great trail horse as well and moves beautifully. Being used in parades has also given her the experience of loud noises and lots of people and definitely makes it easier to handle scary situations. Her bloodline features some Waseeka and Funquest. She features the very standard of the old Morgan type and that's what we love about her! We've been trying to raise a foal out of her for the past few years without success, so hopefully soon we will be able to change that! EDIT: In February of 2016, the vet confirmed that she will never conceive. Belle is not broke yet, but she has a sweet attitude and willing personality that it won't take much to train her. Her bloodlines feature double Kingston, and that's what this farm is about! Originally, she came from Minnesota. We love her color, looks, personality, and bloodlines, and we know she will make a great addition to the herd! Cheyenne - Dakota's Prairie Rose Registration #: 0166313 Gender/Type: Mare Color/Pattern: Palamino Solid Date of Birth: March 18 2004     Measurements: 15.3 hh Description: Dakota's Prairie Rose (DBJ's First Premier x Red Rose Lady Marigold) or as we call her, Cheyenne, has been a great horse ever since she was a foal! We raised Cheyenne on the farm and has been used for trail riding and some showmanship. Her unusual dappling in her palomino color definitely has caught the eyes of many. As a two year old, Cheyenne won purple ribbons in 4-H which allowed her to go to the South Dakota State Fair where she won second in her class. As of 2014 however, Cheyenne was injured in her left eye which left her blind. Because of this, we are not able to show her anymore, but will continue working on her trust with us on that side as she is still rideable. Grace - April Midnight Registration #: 0158041 Gender/Type: Mare Color/Pattern: Bay Solid Date of Birth: April 6 2002     Measurements: 15 hh Description: Welcome to Prairie Winds Morgan Farm, Grace! In May of 2019, we were notified of a mare in need who was in a kill pen in Pennsylvania. With the help of many others who donated to help her out, we offered a home for her. So, in the beginning of June, we went out to go get her on a 73 hour round trip! Grace was previously an Amish driving horse, but also broke to ride. She also has Kingston in her bloodlines, so lucky for us since that's the bloodline we promote! She will be used for riding and possibly driving here at the farm. ------------------------------------------------------ EDIT: On February 15th, 2020, Grace passed away. We are unsure of the causes, because she was with us during feeding time, and gone the next morning. We had also just gotten hit with some subzero temps and blizzards and it may have taken it's toll. We first got her back in 2001 and has been a great mare for us. Her bloodline consists of Red Rose and Triple S which is known for their western style.
